Following our presentation of the great Yusufu Olatunji in a previous post here, we share another precious recording of his Sakara music – a deep Yoruba traditional genre tinged with Arab-Islamic influences featuring male voices, percussion and goje violin. This brilliant slow-moving flow of delicate, complex and majestic music radiates peace, fire and lofty dignity.
