Anthology of Romanian Folk Music / Antologia Muzicii Populare Românești Vol. I, record 1 – Electrecord EPD 78, released 1959 (Vinyl 10 inch, 33 RPM)
We now present the first record of a three-album 10-inch box set, on the Electrecord label, of instrumental folk music from the various regions of Romania, ranging from traditional village music to more modern orchestrated virtuoso dance ensembles. This record features recordings of alphorns (A1), bagpipes (A2b), flutes (A3a, A3b, A4a, A4b, A4c, A4d, A5a, A5b, B5), panpipes (B1), violins (B2a, B3a), cobzăs (B2a, B2b), clarinets (B4a), taragots (B4b), accordions (B4c), cimbaloms (B3a, B3b), and other instruments.

Many thanks for all those posts ! I discovered many recordings and added them to my wishlist. I've been diving a lot into world and traditional music for 2 years and it never ends. My main interest is in percussions (especially African), string instruments, etc. This Romanian music box set was part of a haul I got in January, coming with the second volume as well, love me some Eastern European music and nice to have it digitally. Thank you and keep up the great work !
